J29 Cohort FAQs

All pastors serving in congregations dealing with any level of political division or confusion are eligible to apply. J29 Cohort is open to women and men from all denominations, but our focus is on those who self-identify as theologically conservative and evangelical. Most of our presenters will come from conservative evangelical spaces.

The cost to J29 Cohort participants is $50. This will reserve your spot in the cohort. Our generous donors cover the remaining costs, including all travel expenses to/from our September in-person gathering.

The J29 Cohort is an American Values Coalition project and will be a collaborative effort of multiple ministries and non-profits who want to support pastors during this current cultural moment.

Political theology, how to pastor people through conspiracy theories, how to love our Christian Nationalist neighbors, cultivating a Christian view of citizenship, counseling & soul care for congregants, among other topics.

We will limit the entire cohort to around 50 participants. Space is limited, so register here to claim your spot. Each cohort participant will be placed in a small group of about 10 people to process key ideas and teachings throughout the six-month experience.

It is an initiative of The American Values Coalition, a non-profit, pro-democracy organization that supports politically homeless Americans by connecting them to a fact-based community to prevent radicalization and restore democratic norms.
